First Home Owner Grant — SA
The FHOG is a one-off government payment to assist first home buyers entering the property market in South Australia.
- ✓ Up to $15,000 for new builds
- ✓ Must be a new home (never lived in)
- ✓ Property value must not exceed $650,000
- ✓ At least one applicant must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- ✓ Must live in the home for at least 6 continuous months within 12 months of completion
Stamp Duty Relief — SA
The SA Government provides full or partial stamp duty exemption for eligible first home buyers purchasing newly built homes.
- ✓ Full exemption for homes up to $650,000
- ✓ Partial concession for homes $650,000 – $700,000
- ✓ Potential saving of up to $34,870
- ✓ Applies to off-the-plan purchases & new builds
